NHN is known as the biggest civil society network of Pakistan; keeping in view the importance of building local humanitarian capacities NHN is continuing with building its institutional capacity in the country. With the mandate of improving the quality and accountability of humanitarian practices and advocate for the rights based and principled humanitarian response in Pakistan; NHN is committed, seeks and provides the capacity building opportunities for the secretariats and its member organizations across Pakistan. NHN enhanced its collaborations with National Institute of Disaster Management, UN-OCHA, VSO and HAP & Sphere focal point Pakistan (CWSA) for exploring capacity building opportunities for NHN members across Pakistan. These capacity building initiatives are contributing towards enhancing local humanitarian capacity. The Capacity Building initiatives support national and local civil society organizations in developing capacities at organizational and network levels to strengthen the role and capacities of national and local humanitarian actors for further setting humanitarian and sustainable development agendas and humanitarian action in Pakistan.
